"The curious paradox is that when I accept myself just as I am, then I can change" - Carl Rogers
Your Counselling Journey:
The first step in your counselling journey would be to arrange for an Introductory Session. This is an opportunity for me to talk about how I work and for you to say something about what is going on for you at the moment. At the end of this session you will have a sense of whether this is something that you wish to continue with. If you decide that this is not for you then that is fine. If you want to take time to think about this and get back in touch then that is fine too. If you wish to continue then we can book another session. There is no charge for the Introductory Session.
Questions and Answers:
While the Introductory Session is an opportunity to ask questions, it may be that there are things you wish to know before deciding whether to get in touch. Below are some of the questions asked by people considering starting Counselling. If you have any questions that are not covered in the selection below, then please get in touch and I will try to answer them.
What is Counselling?
Who is it for?
How does it work?
How long does it last and how often do we meet?
What do I do next?
If you would like to book an Introductory Session to explore what it might be like to begin counselling then you can contact me by email or telephone, see the Contact Page for details. When sending an email or leaving a message it is helpful to mention whether it is OK for me to leave messages on answerphones and any necessary precautions about emails to ensure that the application remains confidential.
